Ok, another imperfect long video where I keep making some mistakes choosing the wrong prepositions, that's annoying...among other things. But it's too much work to re-do it so I'm just posting it as is. Grrrrr!
It's basically addresses the common objection which goes something like "How can you ask people to stop procreation when you don't know "The answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything"???" Or "What if there is something which is currently unknown but once revealed will explain our mission here and the point of us existing?"
What I was trying to say here is in a nutshell:
- The fact that we don't know everything about what the hell is going on and where we might go from here (even if I conceded the point we don't know even though I think it's clear when we die - we die, period) - should prevent us from creating more people because we have no clue what the hell awaits them in this world and 'beyond'.
- Personal religious/spiritual/mumbo-jumbo beliefs aren't an acceptable justification for exposing others to the risk of harm.
- What the Universe might 'want' from us is unknown, and even if we did know what it 'wanted' we wouldn't just roll over and say 'yes, master', right? It's not our problem, let the Universe worry about its 'plans', 'wants' etc. (That's, again, if you even believe it has some sort of intelligence and whatnot) Why should we worry about the 'plan of a Universe' when we have plenty of our own problems to solve and the Universe isn't helping.

life is rude to beauty ... it should be made to do better than that or be sent back from whence it came.

I think you talk pretty well. I'm bilingual as well but the thing about writing is that I can hide my poor pronunciation/accent behind it

Very well spoken, I don't have much to add, basically you were talking about the greatness of Athens to an Athenian.

Great)) Why don't I see you in antinatalist groups on Facebook then? Some don't join because they hate FB, but since you use it anyway, why not join the group? |

Thanks 2
Natalist: It's ok to have kids, because MAYBE there's something great awaiting them, and us all, here and beyond. Me: Here, globally speaking, it CAN'T be great (and you know it). Beyond, if there is one, it could be a greater hell or a great heaven, yes. If the latter were the case, you did your kids no favour by interrupting their happy existence in paradise and bringing them to a much worse place for a while. (Until the unborn can communicate with the born and actually ask them to do such a strange and cruel thing, explaing the real motives, I will abstain from playing the 'maybe' game). |

Religious Natalist: Oh, but you're totally wrong. My kids didn't pre-exist. Me and my partner created them. We gave them the opportunity to go in for the merit system and MAYBE enter paradise eventually.
Me: Wow, you're God and Godess. You created bodies and souls. Let me remind you of your own dogmas: it was God who made the clay, then blew, and made it inhabited by spirit and replicable at will (the clay, I mean, He invariably provides the souls). Supposedly, the same day, God created the system of buying tickets for Heaven at astronomic prices. 'Buy Eternal Ecstasy! It only costs Temporary Torture!' said the slogan. If you find that nonsense acceptable, and see no reason why you shouldn't worship a Sadic Blackmailer, then fine, go ahead. But, are you really sure you want to book tickets for others? Remember: it's not YOU who will pay the price... (aah, how I wish it was you!). |

My pleasure
'Wise men talk because they have something to say, fools because they have to say something.' (Plato) (and women?... well, I assume he was just trying to avoid lynching... by suggesting women had a brain and/or used it, I can undestand) |
