Experimenting with polymer clay and food

I don't post my new jewelry photos on this blog any more since I have a separate website for that (bijutel.com). But just to share my new experiments:

polymer clay food

I first made one set with coffee (the photos didn't turn out well because they're darker and with the lack of sunshine in winter my camera has a hard time focusing), then I've thought of seeds and grains. I was about to throw these seeds away because I forgot about them and they're not fresh any more. But good thing I didn't because now I have more material to incorporate into my polymer clay.

Really like the results I'm getting so far. I may post an image of the finished necklace with these beads later.

I've applied some polymer clay glue under the grains and seeds before baking them together with thermoplastic.

In case you're wondering what the brands were, the glue - Sculpey's 'bake and bond', clay - Sculpey's 'Studio'. Though I use other brands of plastic as well (Cernit, Fimo).

What I like about this hobby is that it allows me to do two things simultenaously: create some charms and watch a movie or a documentary, or listen to Spanish lessons
