Just something I've found in this new apartment I moved in to.
This tea set is older than me, my parents weren't even married then. The inscription reads: 1973. It was a birthday present, most likely from daughter to her mother.
There's something about old things that belonged to somebody, that have history. Wouldn't it be kind of cool to have that 'touch and see' power psychics have in movies? Of course, you'd want to be able to turn that off. And perhaps soon after you'd be bored anyway because what's there to see in most peoples lives, right? ;)

in the vain hope that they may be worth something someday oh they will, but in a couple of centuries or so. But that still didn't stop me form thinking "i wonder if it's worth anything" lol, even i had that thought, but these are not so exclusive yet, no scarcity in them so - nope. not yet. "as thick as two short planks"? hey, i learnt a new idiom today, thanks))) |

RE: "as thick as two short planks"? hey, i learnt a new idiom today, thanks)))
Trying to remember all the idioms i could, seemed like a good idea at the time.Until it became too daft for words to keep scribbling untold numbers of idioms into notepads for three days P.S.Cloud storage is great. But so is not putting all of your eggs in one basket. And in the scheme of things getting you a new hard drive is worth almost nothing. So please do us a favour and put a selection of your preferred external hard drives on your Amazon wish list already. And forget it. |

Sorry,i forgot to submit my email. So i'll know if you decide to indulge me or tell me to go take a long drop off of a short pier for being so pretentious as to try and give you a gentle nudge.

Looks like a serious piece of Kit.And it should give you peace of mind with the 2 year Recovery and Replacement Plan and a 2-Year Warranty if that is available when i order this Hard Drive from your Wish List. And don't forget to add a case if you want one.

Forget the warranty, it's Ukraine we're talking about, may be a problem especially since it's not bought in Ukraine. I had a laptop brought from US once, had to send it back to US for a warranty repair. This one looks like it doen't need a case. Waterproof also. I should bathe with it hehehe. |

Yes,good point!Sending it back to the US could be a pain. And i suppose that problem also applies to the 2 year Recovery and Replacement Plan too?
But i have found a new respect for the idea of using a case after yesterday's fiasco.I accidentally tipped a cup of coffee into my open camera bag case. And even though my two day old new camera is weather proof.A sticky non slip grip was not part of the original specification.Perhaps i should just take a leaf out of your book and take it into the shower. But seriously, should an accident happen a cheep case could save you the trouble of cleaning the gunk off of it .Unless of course it happens when it's not in the case or when the case is left open. But it's your kit so the choice is yours. |

Yes, no warranties, no replacements. Just like life itself)) My two previous hard drives died despite the cases from internal causes. That's why, actually, I still have the case from the same-sized Transcend drive so that's not a problem.

Okay - I'll order just the drive as soon as it appears on your Wish List.
I tend to use the larger more clunky drives with external power supplies connected via a powered usb hub and used in pairs with one as a backup for the other. But apart from three external power supply failures (the last one failed about two or three weeks ago). The only hard drive failure i've ever had was of the internal drive on an old Windows PC about 8 years ago.And there was no backup. Hopefully you'll have better luck with your new drive. |

Thanks. It is on my wish list, it's a new list, the one with my mailing address attached. well, the first one was sort of my fault, i've been carrying it in my bag with the usb wire attached, and it's been bending in the socket (or whatevr it's called) so the connection eventually broke. this drive has the nice compartment for the wire just in case i need to take it somewhere, but mainly it's supposed to have a long and peacefull life on my table (unless i spill coffee on it or something) |

Am i missing something or just being a dunce. For the life of me all i can find on
this site (via the "books i want" link) is the Wish List for the same 24 public items (all books) on Amazon. Perhaps you can just paste the link to your new Wish List in these comments. |

It's not in that books list, it's the link I gave above for the harddrive. http://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/1AIJH34710FH/ref=cm_wl_rlist_go_o |

Yes i was being a dunce (like the postman who just delivered my neighbors private post to me). I saw that address but i'm used to seeing house numbers
and post codes for a full address. But if you are sure that will get to you then i will go ahead and order it and we can put this thing to bed. |

I'm inattentive all the time. And I still do some programming. Imagine how fun it is lol. Sometimes half-hour searches for what's wrong only to find out it was just some little thing put in the wrong place)) The address is full, it's just only part of it is displayed |

Wishful thinking! I used another browser that didn't block the option to use your full (but masked for privacy) address. But as soon as i tried to compete the order i got
this message. "About Shipping Restrictions Warranty issues and manufacturer restrictions prevent us from shipping certain products to all geographical locations. You'll be notified while placing your order if we're unable to ship specific items to the address you've selected. Please also check the product detail pages for any item-specific shipping restrictions. Buyers outside the U.S. cannot purchase the following types of items from sellers: video games, toy and baby items, electronics, cameras and photo items, tools and hardware, kitchenware and housewares, sporting goods and outdoor equipment, software, and computers." Perhaps it will work with Amazon.co.uk as it's part of Europe. It's not as if you live on another planet! Any suggestions? |

strange because when i browsed thru items i specifically checked 'interetaional delivery' so this one should've been fine before that i also thought uk site, i even created the list there. the white one should work, it's under 'AmazonGlobal Eligible' kind of shipment. The blueone isn't. I actually liked the white better, but chose the blue one because it was waterproof https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/registry/wishlist/279-1041087-7400459?ie=UTF8&ref_=gno_listpop_wi& === Well, Ukraine sort of is and it isn't Europe. UK site is aparently even worse than US for delivery option. Every item I open reads "we can not deliver to Ukraine". So I've searched amazon.com again and only included those that say "Shipping: This item is also available for shipping to select countries outside the U.S." http://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/1AIJH34710FH/ref=cm_wl_huc_title But if it doesn't work - it doesn't work. Thanks for trying anyway |
me form thinking "i wonder if it's worth anything".So in the unlikely event that anyone with psychic powers should ever attempt to read me.Any impressions that could suggest a comparison between my mind and the thickness of two short planks is purley coincidental.
