Ever tried smoked beans? I haven't. But I've tried cooking them...apparently.
Thought I was cooking braised beans. Nope, turned out, I was up for the smoked ones. As was evidently demonstrated by the amount of smoke in the house.
So the recipe is very simple:
a) Put the beans in the water, turn on the gas and strall away to your room to do some programming.
b) Come back to the kitchen when you've started noticing the increasing smoky scent coming from the closed door.
c) In the smoky kitchen, locate what looks like a saucepan on a stove and put it in the washstand. Fill it with cold water so the saucepan cracks from the drastic temperature change shock.
d) There. Smoky beans are cooked! As well as your whole appartment. Go buy some air purifier and put on a gas mask if you have one.
That was briefly my today's lunch cooking story.
Ugh... I'm gonna go make a snack instead. Now that I can see through the air again.
