30-11-2015 You can relax... to an extent. She's been on holiday in Thailand:https://www.facebook.com/irina.uriupina Not with me unfortunately, but she was there with another human being - gender unknown. |

30-11-2015 @Brick Thanks, I didn't think about a FB account, or figured we'd have to do the friend thing and that might be too much for her. Looks like a boyfriend situation to me, good for her! Sorry, buddy, what's close at hand…or as my dad used to say, "You marry who you meet!" I've never been to Thailand, looks beautiful, but I tend to prefer thick forests and hills to beaches, anyway, so the jealousy factor is manageable. And in the end, "No matter where you go, there you are!" Let's try this image thing once more. This shot is a little scary, makes her look like an evil Russian queen of sorts... https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1075545742469768&set=pcb.1075552985802377&type=3 --- > Edited 30-11-2015 02:18:02 |

This shot is a little scary, makes her look like an evil Russian queen of sorts... Russian??? I've never been to Thailand, looks beautiful, but I tend to prefer thick forests and hills to beaches On Koh Samui there's thick forests ans rocky mountains as well. It's remarkble. Never seen clouds so low above the ground. I'm slowly adjustng back to my misty chilly country. ::sigh::

07-12-2015 @Irina Russian? I should have said Eastern European. slavic, something like that! Russia's leader is really kickin' it out lately, it is amazing what small changes in the brain can do to personality. Darth Vader as leader of post-soviet bloc country, hmmm, organized, powerful, success oriented, direct and to the point, what could go wrong?I sometimes wonder how the compassion aspect of our minds is kicked up whereas others can just walk by an animal in pain, or a homeless person that is crying, and not think, gee, there is absolutely no reason for anyone or anything to have to suffer like that. There is nothing in the world worth doing that makes that unchosen misery worthwhile. What keeps other people from seeing what is obvious elementary school logic and fundamental compassion? Drives me nuts. I often have Jehovah's Witnesses come by my door weekly, only speaking Spanish, with two or three children in tow, telling *me* how I can save myself and have lambs laying down with lions. Their minds are closed, but I figure if I delay them while practicing my Spanish, at least something productive gets done. But they never can step over the line of realizing that just not playing Gawd's game is a frikkin' win, right there! It's the *only* way to win, really, and it requires the compassion to realize you can only win for others yet to be. What gawd-fearing person demonstrates that type of foresight and compassion for their fellow sentient beings? None. Now try saying that in Spanish! |
